Electromagnetica
Electromagnetica is the working title for an ongoing exploration of America's electric transmission and distribution infrastructure that, while essential for powering our lives, is often found in uncomfortable proximity to humans.
As demand has grown, utility companies must deliver more electricity over farther distances through circuits that may contain a half-million volts. Electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are an effect of such energy, and are present near these massive structures.
There is little scientific evidence that EMFs cause health or mental illness, but much is still unknown.
